Welcome third graders!

Welcome to Mrs. Forsyth’s third grade class!  2020-2021

Dear third graders,

I know that this has been a different summer but I hope you’ve been able to be outside enjoying

this beautiful weather.   I feel honored to be your teacher and look forward to helping you discover

new interests, meet new friends and realize the rewards that come from working hard.  This year

will be a little different but I know if we work together we can have fun learning!

Our classroom will be a place for you to learn, laugh, explore, be curious,

challenge yourself and be part of a community of learners sharing ideas

and experiences.

This year we’ll learn all about the weather, fractions,

cursive writing, Ancient Egypt and local history!

A bit about me…

I live here in Cape Elizabeth with my husband and two children, Jack and Avery.  I also have a black lab named

Mac who loves to run through the woods, chase squirrels and ride in the car.  When I’m not teaching,  I love to

read, swim, garden, hike, mountain bike and ski.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  I can’t wait to meet all of you next week!

Bag of Summer: On your first “rolling start day” please bring 2 small items to share that

tells something about what you did this summer!

Classroom Supplies:

Please know that you DO NOT have to bring any of these items on the first "rolling start"

day.  I have plenty of new materials for us to use.  Feel free to have your child bring their

supplies in slowly.  Of course, if students really want to bring in their supplies they are

welcome.

It would be so helpful if you could label your child’s belongings. :) Thank you!
