This week's news...

Amidst this dreary week of rain I felt so appreciated, thank you all for the beautiful flowers.
Every table in the room was adorned with a bouquet!

This week's news includes a celebration of our fairy tale adaptations and
a field trip to the Portland Head Light Museum.

A special thank you to all the volunteers who've joined us on
our field trips, teacher appreciation luncheon and in the classroom as a guest reader!

Please ask your child to show you their fairy tale adaptation in their Google Drive.  Students typed their stories into Google Docs and used the app Book Creator to layout their illustrations and text.

This week we'll begin an author study on Patricia Polacco where students will study several
of her stories and characters.  Our focus will be to compare and
contrast themes,  plots and character relationships.

Look behind us, it's the rock where the Annie C. Maguire was shipwrecked December 24th, 1886.
This British ship struck ledge at Portland Headlight sailing from Argentina.
