Mrs. Forsyth's Updated Blog 11/10

In celebration of completing our narrative stories, we visited the Thomas Memorial Library where the librarian, read Uncle Andy's, a personal narrative told by Andy Warhol's nephew.  Later, students were able to book browse and recommend books to each other.  Some students took books out under my name and these books we'll be kept at school.

Thank you to Sebastian for sharing this amazing story told by Alan Page, Minnesota Supreme Court Justice and NFL Hall of Famer.  Mr. Page shares his experience when he visits his  elementary school.

Next week we'll dive into our study of Ancient Egypt through reading informational text.  We'll learn about the features of informational text and how to determine the main idea and details.

On Monday, we'll visit the Sphinx and the Pyramids at Giza using Virtual Reality goggles.  Students will research and answer questions using Google Classroom.

In math, we're approaching the end of our unit on Number Stories and Arrays. Students are practicing multiplication and division arrays along with multi step number stories.
