We've been busy at work in third grade!   Here are some photos of students working on:

  • equivalent fractions and fact practice
  • thinking, talking and writing about reading
  • parts of speech and writing fairy tales 
  • understanding that certain characteristics of animals provide them advantages in surviving

Beak Break Out!
Problem: An evil scientist released an unknown serum into the air causing several bird's beaks to be changed.
Teams worked together to unlock codes and lock boxes to find the antidote that would return the beaks back to their rightful owners.  Communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity were all in play!
